On November 10th, with amazing support from the Lynchburg Art Club, Lynchburg Beacon of Hope hosted the 4th Annual Art for Achievement surrounded by friends, old and new alike.

The weather was perfect. The food was delicious. The walls of artwork surrounded by starry lights created the perfect atmosphere. The friendships, laughter, and fellowship filled tent. The generosity of the Lynchburg community was awe-inspiring. The evening simply could not have been better!

The first-person testimony from Beacon Scholar, Wilson, reminded us of the depth to which Lynchburg Beacon of Hope can impact our young people. Wilson’s story was truly the highlight of the event and a wonderful reminder as to why we were all gathered for the evening.

The lively Live Auction, thanks to the talented Amy Calandra Davis, David Eakin, Rodney Laughon, Kate McClure, and Ann Harris Massie Winstead, brought the crowd to their feet with excitement.

Thank you to the incredible Lynchburg community artists and our student and educator artists at Heritage and E.C. Glass High Schools who generously donated their talents for the silent auction.

We are thankful to the wonderful folks who donated their talents for our raffle, which ended up with more than 800 tickets sold. Thanks Ted Batt, Foraged & Cut Flowers, Avenue Foods, Everyday Sommelier, and John Shuptrine.

Thanks to the amazing talents of Lynchburg artists, and the generosity of you, our supporters, Art for Achievement grossed close to $100,000 to support the students and families served by the Future Centers, Stay Close, Go Far Scholarships, and Office of College and Career Success, as well as the Lynchburg Art Club!

We are grateful for and humbled by your support of Lynchburg Beacon of Hope. Together, we truly are inspiring our local young people to transform our Community.
