This year, there are 3 wonderful ways you can participate:
- Buy a bracket. We have 32 teams of individual and corporate supporters who are playing to win in this year’s Corn-a-ment. You can bet on the throwing prowess of your favorites! Just click the box below to buy a $10 bracket. You’ll receive by email a link to complete your predictions of who will win. Brackets are available for purchase all the way up to noon on April 22, the first day of our Sweet 16 round of play. Not sure who’s got the Cornhole skills? Buy a second bracket! Every dollar supports not just our Cornhole championship, but the incredible champion students who graduate from Lynchburg schools each year.
- Buy a raffle ticket. This year, thanks to the generosity of Old Dominion Furniture Company, we have an amazing raffle item to offer… a gorgeous custom wooden island, which can be installed in your kitchen, craft room, or any room in your home. Raffle tickets are only $10. Click below to purchase your raffle tickets and keep your fingers crossed for a big win!
- Purchase a Picnic Basket and Tune in and watch the ‘Big Show!’ This year, the format for the 8th Annual Corn-a-ment is a little different. Throughout late April and early May, Beacon’s Quarn-a-ment 2021 will host a series of Sweet 16 and Elite 8 rounds of Cornament play. These rounds lead up to a live-broadcast of the BIG SHOW, the championship round on Friday evening, May 14th. The event is broadcast from beautiful Oakwood Country Club and color play-by-play commentary will be provided by our friends from WLNI’s SportsLine, Dennis Carter and Rich Roth. Tickets for this high stakes event will be not offered in person—this is a view from your patio only event.
We invite you to gather with a small group of friends, and purchase a Quarn-a-ment 2021 picnic basket to enjoy while you throw your own cornhole game and watch the championships live from Oakwood. This beautiful picnic meal, designed and prepared by Purple Door Catering, is available for 2 people and accommodates larger crowds as well. Each basket contains craft beer and cider, a generous grazing tray, BBQ chicken and fixings, and desserts. Enjoy a safe, distanced evening of cornhole in your own home as you tune into watch the Big Show. Friday, May 14th beginning at 7 pm.
